2. Get their ref number which is generated once the form is submitted

MOVING IN PROCEDURE
Attention: For new asylum young persons.
House Orientation: Familiarise them with how all the appliances in the house work most importantly the washing machine, cooker, fridge, blender and so onSafety Measures: Discuss UK safety protocols, including the emergency services number and most importantly the fire evacuation procedure for the house. (How they can safely leave the house during a fire incident)Contact Details: Provide them with the house address and home phone line number to keep with them at all times, ensuring they can contact the home when out in the community.Mobile Communication: During today’s shopping, ensure they buy SIM cards. Share their mobile numbers with Abel and Hannah to update their files and records at the placement. Likewise support them in opening email accounts (this should be counted towards key work sessions)Health Registrations: Register them with the local GP, dentist, and optician, and schedule initial appointments for them.Education: Begin exploring educational opportunities and options available in the vicinity of the placement.Rules and Regulations: Discuss the house rules and UK regulations, such as the prohibition of fly-tipping in the community and other rules of the home.
Curfew: Please note that the curfew for these new arrivals is 9:00 pm for their first month. After this time, if you cannot contact them, report them as missing.Keywork Sessions: Conduct the required keywork sessions. They are allocated 14 hours of keywork sessions during their first four weeks and 7 hours per week thereafter.Ongoing Support: Continue to carry out all necessary actions to appropriately support the young persons, including arranging any additional appointments, exploring their hobbies and interests.

MOVING IN PROCEDURE1. Go through the young persons handbook with the YP (whether or not the SW comes with him)2. Go over the house rules with the YP (as above)3. YP to sign 2 copies of the rules of the house document , one for him , one for the file. Hand him a copy of the young persons handbook as well4. Complete a placement initial risk assessment on the same day the social worker comes for the placement planning meeting which could also be the same day the YP moves in6. Complete the support needs form (as above)7. Obtain details of the following from the SW or the new YPa) doctor dentist and optician
b) next of kin name and number
c) full details of SW
d) YPs date of birth
e) YPs telephone number
f) health needs if any
g) details of their IRO
h) Yps hobbies/interests
I) how many key work session hours are needed for this YPPut these details in the house diary and in the clients file8. Request yps permission to have his or her photo taken. If yes, do so immediately for the files. A close up one like a passport pic and one in which they are standing up .9. Choose one of each and send to the group chat immediately. Do not send multiple pics at this time.10. within a week if we have no details of any previous Gp or they are happy to change Gp pls arrange to register yp with the nearest GP to the placement, opticians and dentist . This is compulsory !!!10) within 2 days, ask management for a copy of the Yp’s profile referral and the placement plan documents and other relevant document the council needs to give to us - place on file once received .11. Type out the profile for the child and print out in readiness to put on the child’s file . You know the details we need for the file anyway
